2019 Student Council Talent Show Information

Dates:  Thursday, May 2, 2019 (Preschool - 5th Grades) & Friday, May 3, 2019 (Middle School)

Time:  1:30 p.m.

Place:  Sheridan Hall

Cost: $5.00 Entrance Fee for participants only

Prizes:  Top Five Prizes (Each Day)

  • First Place - $ 100.00

  • Second Place - $ 75.00

  • Third Place - $ 50.00

  • Fourth Place - $ 25.00

  • Fifth Place - $ 10.00

Permission Slips must be returned by Wednesday, April 24, 2019

STUCO Christmas Grams Are Now On Sale

Attention Students & Parents:

Student Council is selling Christmas Grams for $1.00 each.

Grams are available for purchase from all Student Council officers and classroom representatives or in the school office. Parents who would like to purchase a Christmas Gram for their child may contact or visit the school office.

Christmas Grams will be on sale until Wednesday, December 20 and will be distributed on Friday, December 22, 2017.

Spirit Week (Oct. 30 - Nov. 3, 2017)

Sacred Heart Catholic School will be celebrating Spirit Week from October 30 to November 3, 2017. Students will be allowed to dress up in a themed costume each day of the week. All costumes and outfits should be appropriate for school. Students who are not participating must wear their school uniforms.

The following are the 2017 Spirit Week daily themes as selected by Student Council officers and representatives:

  • Monday, October 30 - Mexico Day
  • Tuesday, October 31 - Career Day
  • Wednesday, November 1 - Saint's Day (students may dress up as a saint, priest, nun, or religious figure)
  • Thursday, November 2 - Nerds vs. Athletes
  • Friday, November 3 - Pajama Day

Important Note: Weekly School Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 1 due to a Holy Day of Obligation. Students are permitted to wear their religious themed costume to Mass. Any student not in an appropriate costume or not participating that day must wear their formal uniform (including ties) to Mass.

2017 Student Council Campaign & Election Information

Dear Parents & Students,

Student Council campaigns officially began on Friday, August 18, 2017. The Student Council Campaign Rally will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017. All candidates will be expected to make speeches at the rally and all candidate parents are welcome to attend.

Elections will be held following the Campaign Rally on August 25, 2017 - either before or after Mass (time depending). Election Results will be announced at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Friday., August 25, 2017.

2017 – 2018 Student Council Campaign Rules

  1. All petitions were due to Mrs. Rothstein, with a parent signature, no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017.
     
  2. Candidates are not allowed to remove or cover any existing wall decorations to put up posters and may not destroy or damage the walls or windows while hanging up posters.
     
  3. Posters must be handmade – not professionally printed.
     
  4. Campaign favors should be limited to items $5.00 or less.
     
  5. Healthy food is encouraged! Please restrict your use of junk food and candy as campaign materials. Any litter produced by the campaign must be collected by the end of the day or you will no longer be allowed to distribute campaign favors.
     
  6. Any posters that are put up by candidates must be removed by the candidates after the election on Friday, August 25, 2017.
     
  7. No bullying or negative campaigning – keep it clean.
     
  8. Any candidates caught violating these rules will be disqualified
