Read Across America Celebration Week

Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrates the National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America initiative with a full schedule of events held during the week of National Read Across America Day.

Community leaders, guest readers, and Student Council officers read books to younger students and the entire school promotes literacy with activities, discussions, and reading opportunities.

Open House & Pancake Breakfast - 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM

The annual Open House & Pancake Breakfast aims to promote the school and our students, recruit new families, and give the community a chance to tour the campus.

Current and prospective parents, parishioners, and community members can inquire about admissions and scholarships, learn about our academic programs and meet with our principal, pastor, faculty and staff, advisory school board, student council and student ambassadors.

Free breakfast is served all day is Sheridan Hall offering pancakes, waffles, bacon, pastries, freshly brewed coffee and Mrs. Espinoza's famous menudo!

Sacred Heart Catholic School proudly celebrates National Catholic Schools Week. Beginning in 2018, the new theme is “Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed."

2018 Catholic Schools Week Schedule of Events

  • Monday, January 29 - Walking Rosary at Sacred Heart Church at 8:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday, January 30 - Skits (4th & 5th Grades)
  • Wednesday, January 31 - Prayer Link in Sheridan Hall at 8:20 a.m.
  • Thursday, February 1 - Skits (6th, 7th, & 8th Grades)
  • Friday, February 2 - Pastor Motivational Talk with Father Marco at 8:20 a.m. in Sheridan Hall
